Empowering Female Talent in Open-Wheel Racing – Formula Pro USA is proud to introduce the WRS (Womens Racing Series), an exciting new racing class running exclusively inside our established FPUSA-4 series.

Designed to highlight, support, and elevate female racers, the WRS provides a highly competitive platform for women to showcase their skills in contemporary Formula 4 race cars. As the starting point of your racing career, FPUSA continues its commitment to bringing affordable, top-tier formula car racing to the West Coast—now with a dedicated championship path for our female competitors.

How the WRS Class Works

One Race – Two Championships – The WRS does not require a separate race weekend—it is integrated directly into the FPUSA-4 schedule. Female racers will grid up alongside the rest of the FPUSA-4 field, meaning every time you hit the track, you are fighting for two titles at once.

  • Overall FPUSA-4 Championship: WRS competitors will be fully eligible to score points and take podiums in the overall FPUSA F4 standings.
  • Exclusive WRS Championship: In addition to overall points, female racers will compete directly against one another for exclusive WRS points, crowning a dedicated Womens Racing Series Champion at the end of the season.

This dual-championship format ensures maximum track time, maximum competition, and maximum exposure for our female athletes.

Series Details & Regulations

    • The Car: Competitors will drive the same state-of-the-art Ligier JS F4 race cars used in the standard FPUSA-4 series.
    • The Schedule: The WRS class will run at every scheduled FPUSA-4 event, including our staple weekends at Sonoma Raceway, Thunderhill Raceway, and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. 2026 Schedule
    • Licensing & Waivers: Standard FPUSA F4 licensing requirements apply. Drivers must be at least 14 years of age or older upon the first day of the event and hold a valid competition license. FPUSA Licensing Requirements
    • Regulations: ALL FPUSA-F4 Series Regulations including Tire Rules apply to the WRS class and will be enforced in conjunction with the standard FPUSA-F4 Series. Series Regulations
